Bio – Cierra Glaudé

Reigning from Mobile, Alabama, Cierra ‘SHOOTER’ Glaudé is a southern belle whose heart & hustle has landed her on crews of features & TV shows including SELMA, Girls Trip, A Wrinkle in Time, Queen Sugar, and TWENTIES.

Cierra made her directorial-debut at Urbanworld in 2017 with her short ‘Last Looks’ starring Rutina Wesley (Queen Sugar,True Blood) which is featured on Issa Rae’s Youtube Channel as apart of the #ShortFilmSunday lineup. In 2019, she directed Grammy nominated artist Chika’s High Rises music video. Later that same year she followed up with ‘Spilt Milk’ starring Dascha Polanco (Orange is the New Black) and Zuri Adele (Good Trouble) which earned her the opportunity to direct multiple episodes of Queen Sugar Season 5 in 2020—the same show she served as a PA on for multiple seasons!

She followed up her Queen Sugar directing debut with episodes of TWENTIES, P-Valley, Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, The Chi, Riverdale, Power: Force and counting! After an outstanding rookie year in 2021, she was nominated for an NAACP Image Award for Breakthrough Creative in Television January 2022.

Like the black women writers, directors, & show runners she has been blessed to work with, Cierra aims to build cinematic worlds where POC, women, and the LGBTQ community can see themselves represented without due cause.

She's a young star. And an absolute pleasure to work with.

What a story. What a debut! What an inspiration to your generation. When you do the work that you love, and the work fulfills you, the rest will come. & this is just the beginning for Shooter.

The thing about Cierra is, what you see is what you get. There’s not an ill intentioned bone in her body. She is a person who leads with kindness, leads with joy, and that translates in her work.

She gives me hope because she didn’t take the easy way. She put in five years as a production assistant, on couches, eating ramen. And now she’s there.
